Party Noise
In the case of disturbing noise from large nearby parties call San Diego Police non-emergency number first. That provides a record of the call. In some circumstances SDSU Police Department will provide back up. The departments have developed a chart explaining which police agency you should call. Download a very helpful who to call flow chart: Who-to-Call-tree
SDPD officers have a number of responses to party noise calls depending on frequency and severity. Download and read about party response guidelines: SDPD-party-response-guide
Resolution/Problem Assistance
Conflicts arise between neighbors in any community; areas near universities are further challenged by the impact of student housing. CVE is less affected than most university neighborhoods, in part because we are an engaged community. San Diego and the College Area have several resources designed to help resolve basic and/or on-going issues such as violations of building codes (e.g. illegal garage conversions), and off street parking violations (common in college areas).
